Veneer grade -how to construct a piece of plywood?  


Face/back veneer grade 
  
The grade of face and back veneer comply with the standard of customer asked. We are familiar with the standards of ANSI/HPVA HP-1-2009; PS1-95; BS; EN; JAS etc.  Core 

Veneer for ordinary plywood

Core veneer must be strong enough and glued tightly together. The appearance of core veneer is concerned less than face and back. Core veneer grade is conform to standard of PS 1-95. 


Outer layer of plywood core grade B conform to standard of PS 1-95: 

veneer should be firm; smoothly cut; and free of knots, pitch pockets, open splits, and other open defects and well jointed when of more than one piece.  


Adjacent layer to outer layer of plywood core (grade C): 

veneer shall be solid and free from open defects and broken grain. Knots shall be tight and not more than 38mm across the gain. Slightly rough grain and discolorations shall be permitted.
